What inspired you to make this project?
I've been interested in dressing up ever since I was little and my parents have always encouraged me to pursue creative outlets. My mom is an artist who taught me how to sew and my dad is an electrical engineer who helped me with my first electronics projects. I discovered cosplay culture as a teenager and have made it my passion. In college I pursued an interdisciplinary degree and graduated from Carnegie Mellon University with a bachelor's degree in Physics and Art. I made my first interactive LED wearables during my studies there and have continued to incorporate electronics into my cosplays ever since. These days my inspirations for cosplay come from video games, tabletop roleplaying games, and books; but at the heart of it all is a desire for self transformation, play, community, and creative outlet.
